🔐 Before you start: to access another user's settings, you must belong to the Administrator permission group.
Users can also access their own email accounts by clicking their name in the top-right corner of the screen, then selecting Settings > Email accounts.

📍 1. Access email account settings
From the Administration > User management module, open the record of the relevant user.
Click the user whose settings you want to configure.
From their record, click SMTP account in the top-right corner.
Then click Add an email account.
You can then choose from four configuration options:
- Use the blgCloud SMTP server,
- Google Apps / Gmail connection via OAuth,
- Office 365 / Outlook connection via OAuth,
- Use your own SMTP server.
☁️ 2. Use the blgCloud SMTP server
Select Use the blgCloud SMTP server, then enter:
- the user's email address,
- the user's first and last name.
Then click Next.
When you enter the email address, blgCloud checks whether the domain allows the use of the blgCloud SMTP server.
Two options may then be offered:
Configure the DNS records for my domain
This option allows you to authorize the use of the blgCloud SMTP server with your own domain.
blgCloud indicates the changes that need to be made to your domain's DNS configuration to authorize email sending.
Use a blgCloud email address
This option allows you to use blgCloud servers to send emails. Recipients will be able to reply directly to your messages, but a blgCloud email address will appear as the sender.
Once you have made your choice, a verification email containing a validation code is sent to the email address you entered.
Click Send.
💡 Please note: if you do not receive the verification email, remember to check your junk or spam folder.
Enter the code you received in the appropriate field, then click OK.
⚙️ 3. Use your own SMTP server
If you want to use your own SMTP server, enter the connection details corresponding to your email provider.
For some providers, such as OVH, select Custom to enter the settings required to connect your account.
This information must be obtained from your email provider, IT service provider, or system administrator.
💡 Please note: if you use your own SMTP server and a configuration error occurs, contact your IT service provider or system administrator. blgCloud Support only covers the blgCloud SMTP server.
🔧 4. Configure a Google or Office 365 connection
You can also connect your email account directly to blgCloud using OAuth.
Two options are available:
- Google Apps / Gmail via OAuth,
- Office 365 / Outlook via OAuth.
When you select one of these options, a window automatically opens so you can sign in to the relevant service.
