What's the point of the draft invoice ?
The draft invoice allows you to check its content before validating it, thus avoiding the need to create a credit note in case of an error.
To validate a draft invoice, click on the check mark (as shown below). Once the invoice has been validated, it cannot be deleted.
You will need to use a credit note to correct your invoice. There is no other alternative.
If you notice an error, don't validate it (check mark), but put it in the trash and go back to your order to recreate your invoice from the order, the WO*, the purchase order or contract.
The draft invoice can be activated or deactivated on request (by Chat).
Please note that it will be active for the entire instance, not just for the requester.
