Once you've successfully made your match, you're wondering how I will be able to check that it will work next time? 🤔
Well, it's quite possible.
Below is a fictitious invoice. We're assuming that you've already made your matching and want to check that it's working properly.
Remember to refresh your page after modifying your matching.
You have made a matching so that the Undefined account has an accounting account.
I click on Undefined, this window appears :
Then I click on : Select a value
The menu with the list of available accounts appears, and of course you can choose one manually, but the aim here is for it to be done automatically.
So if you click on Recompute matching, you'll be able to restart the rule you've created and see if it displays itself.
If the expected account is displayed, your matching has been successful.
If, on the other hand, the desired account does not appear, click on View details.
On the details, we can see :
- The matching title : Accounting account on customer invoice lines.
- The line selected by the rule in green.
- Go directly to the matchings by clicking on View matching rules.
- Red lines are those seen by the rule but not selected.
- Grey lines are those that didn't need to be seen by the rule, as the green one has already been selected.
So if the green line is not the one desired, go back to your matching and check why the rule stops before or after it.
The order of the rule can play a role: if your filters are too wide, it may go to the end of the list.
Also check whether your invoice or other documents contain the tag set in the rule (if there is a tag in the rule).
Example: I tell my rule that the account 707102 must be entered on the invoice line if my partner (the company invoiced) has the Support tag.
But if in your CRM file the invoiced partner doesn't have the Support tag as indicated, this rule can't be selected.
If you can't figure out why your rule isn't working, please feel free to chat with us so we can help you. Please give us all the details.
It's also possible to check with payment methods and terms.
It's also possible to check the same thing when your invoice is counted.
Below, where the arrow points, a question mark appears (when the mouse passes over it), allowing you to see the details of the rule.
Even if you can't modify the counted invoice, it's still possible to check with the details if the modified matching will work next time.
Always remember to refresh your page when you change your matching :)
