The rights modification on a group is available from the Administration module and then the left menu Rights as below :
The modules list is then visible on the right :
On the first line Module on the right, a “+” button is available to add the group you want to change.
For example, I choose the Sales group.
A “Sales” column is added, as below.
The indicated numbers allow me to see the numbers of rights Authorized in that section.
When I click on one of these numbers, I can see the details of the rights.
In Green what is approved, in Red what is not.
I can then change the check mark or the cross by clicking on it.
Example : If I want to approve all the people of the “Sales” group to Archive in the Activity Wall module, I click on the cross and choose Authorize.
The cross will into a green check :
You will have to save your modification in the top right corner with the diskette in order for it to be taken into account.
Click on Next to confirm :
Your modification is a success !
The same applies to all other headings and rights groups.
From a rights group, it’s also possible to :
- Hide the group
- Copy the configuration
- Apply the selected configuration
and this from the 3 dots at the top right of the added group.
Hiding the group will remove the added column.
Copying the configuration will take over all the group’s rights and Apply will “paste” what you have copied from another group.
An example :
I add the Administrator column and the Salesperson column.
I want my sales people to have the same rights as the Administrators.
I thus copy the configuration from the Administrator column :
Then I apply the selected configuration on the Sales column :
A window appears and asks to do a CTRL+V (Paste) what I just copied.
I thus paste the previously selected configuration :
I apply the modifications.
I have my two columns with the same rights applied :
Finally, I save by clicking on the diskette at the top left and then I check that the rights I want to modify are correct and finally I click on Next :
Your rights have been successfully modified !
